Tabletop Fireplaces
How does it work?
Firstly, read the directions and cautions. Place the base far from any combustible materials on a firm surface. Place the unit on the base. Pour BioLit into the unit an inch below the rim. Preferably, a long handle lighter should be used to ignite the fire. Enjoy! Use the provided cover to snuff out (don't blow out) the fire. Use a wet, soapy towel to clean the container.
How long can I continuously burn FLAIME for?
We advise letting the device cool for roughly 20 minutes after two refills (roughly 1.5 to 2 hours). The heat held by the container will be passed to the alcohol, making it burn faster and hotter. This is also mitigated with a cool-down period.
Can FLAIME be placed on a wooden/glass/metal surface?
Yes you can!
Ensure you place your product on a flat, non-conducting base which will absorb/block the heat generated from the unit to the surface below. However, as a precaution, we suggest you to keep the goods away from any cloth or other easily flammable materials.

How do I turn it off?
Just snuff it out instead of attempting to blow it out! A non-flammable cover is included with every FLAIME product. Simply slide the cover over it; in a few seconds, the fire will be put out.
What happens if the fuel spills?
FLAIME products have been designed to be stable, and it is unlikely to spill over unless the surface is unstable/flat or due to any other external force. However, if the liquid spills, stay calm… it will burn off quickly. Use a fire extinguisher to put it out.
Is FLAIME safe to use indoors?
Yes it is!
FLAIME can be used in any room that is sufficiently ventilated. This will ensure that the alcohol will burn properly, releasing only carbon dioxide and water vapour as by-products. No carbon monoxide is created.

Can I use FLAIME in a windy environment?
Yes you can!
FLAIME operates exceptionally well outside, except for strong gusts and heavy rains.
Please use caution as there is a chance that extremely strong winds could blow the lighted fuel out of the basin and onto surfaces.

Can I use other fuels?
FLAIME is fuelled by bioethanol, a renewable liquid fuel produced from agricultural by-products which burns clean - no smoke, no sparks, no fuss. The combustion of bioethanol produces Heat, Steam and Carbon Dioxide. When ethanol burns it doesn’t produce any smoke, soot, ash or unpleasant odours. Hence, we highly recommend using BioLit by FLAIME to get the best FLAIME possible.
Does BioLit bioethanol smell?
Bioethanol has substances added to it in order for it to be labelled ‘de-natured’. The burning of these substances may cause a slight smell upon initial lighting and will dissipate with time. There is also a slight odour once the flame is extinguished – similar to when you blow out a candle. This also dissipates into the air.
Does it get hot?
It does. Metal has a weak thermal conductivity, unlike the glass of some candles. This implies that if you do touch it, it will feel hot and you will pull your hand away.
Can I add alcohol/fuel while the fireplace is still burning?
Absolutely not! Never add anything flammable to a live flame.
Is it safe for children?
Please exercise caution. FLAIME Fire should only be set up, filled, and lit by sober, responsible adults. Under adult supervision, children will appreciate the pleasant ambiance that FLAIME Fire offers as well as cooking marshmallows over it.
